The Journal of "China Welding" Won the Upgrading Projects of International Influence of Chinese Scientific Journals


Declared by Harbin Welding Institute, the journal of "China Welding" (English Version) has been recently granted the Upgrading Projects of International Influence of Chinese Scientific Journals and will be financially supported for three years. The “China Welding” is the only journal getting approved of scientific journals issued by the Machinery Industry Association, and also the only one in China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology.

 

The Upgrading Projects of International Influence of Chinese Scientific Journals is jointly launched by China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the State Press and Publication Administration of Radio, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. The executing period for the project is 3 years. The project is an important measure to implement the directives of "building international professional journals and high-level exchanging platforms" by the Central Secretariat, and it is also by far the greatest special project to fund Chinese scientific journals in English, with the most extensive coverage and the greatest influence. The project aims to enhance the international influence and overall academic level of  Chinese scientific journals in English, and promote the external communication and exchanges of outstanding research achievements.

 

Two hundred journals participated in this evaluation. Based on the academic influence indicators assessed by the expert committee, 6 journals were accredited as A-class project, 30 journals as B-class project, 30 journals as C-class project, 8 journals as D-class project and 2 journals as the candidate project.
